Done and DONE.

Finished up the fine cut, the exporting, the burning, the labels and the insert for Kouross' "Kayhan Kalhor Concert" project, and all that's left is to hand him the DVD and the master DV tapes to him tomorrow night. He takes a look at them, and if he likes it, we're all ready to roll. And I get paid again. w00t.

Other than that, well, nothing really. The encoding and burning of the DVD literally took 4 hours, a little less than a gig an hour. Taxing, to be sure. The new software I made for printing this stuff is also not too shabby: it's definitely a "oh, we should make this for Mac, too, huh?" kind of interface, but it's not despicable. Just ugly.

Missing my Pipsqueak as usual-- I've been lax in writing the stories I usually write, mainly because I feel indentured when I've got a freelance gig over my head, that "my time is not my own" feeling. But, now that I've moved out from under the shadow of this project, I've been writing well again, and enjoying it.

Last two weeks of classes are looming: I have a paper to write for Thursday, which will most likely be written Wednesday night at the rate my group is moving... my Friday stuff is going ok, still plodding along. I don't have to present anything on Tuesday, which is nice, but I'm bringing the roughs I had last week back to show Becca, now that she's (hopefully) better than she was then. And work will be interesting; I'm going to be compiling video from old, small reels and compositing them onto one or two big reels, and doing that for two more weeks, before vacation. That starts tomorrow.

And... that's really the end of the day. Just praying for a little more stamina to finish out the semester, like usual...
